Career
In 2005 Laura won a vocal contest organised by an Estonian radio station Sky Plus. As a grand prize, Sven Lõhmus wrote and produced her debut single ''Moonwalk'', which can be considered as the cornerstone of her successful career. ''Moonwalk'' placed second in the Estonian Eurovison pre-selection final. Nevertheless, she managed to take part in the ESC that year as a member of a girl-group called Suntribe.
In 2007 Laura took part in the Eurovision Estonian Final again, with her song ''Sunflowers'', making her a runner up, once again.
Her debut album ''Muusa'' was released later that year and is one of the most successful albums of the last decade in Estonia, having sold over 10 000 copies. ''Muusa'' was titled the Album of The Year and due to that Laura was also the Female Artist of the Year.
In the beginning of December, 2015, Laura released her song ''Supersonic'', which was one of the finalists in the song competition Eesti Laul 2016. ''Supersonic'' placed II in the Final Show.
In 2017 Laura represented Estonia at the Eurovision Song Competition with Koit Toome.
In spring 2017 Moonwalk records gave out her ‘‘Greatest Hits’’ album.
In 2019 Laura released her 9th album called “9 Lives”, which was produced in Finland, Vaasa. The connection with Finland led her to take part in the Finnish Eurovision Song Competition in 2021. She was chosen amongst the 6 finalists of the competition.
Blessed with an impressive voice full of energy, uniquity and surprises, Laura has won the hearts of music lovers in many different genres, making her an awarded multi-vocalist, who has released 10 albums and over 24 solo singles.
She is most known for her pop-anthems, TV appearances and entries for the national Eurovision pre-selection contest. During her 18-year career, she has run for the grand prize 7 times in total, winning twice, in 2005 and 2017. Last year she was chosen amongst the 6 finalists in the Finnish Eurovision Song Competition Final with the song “Play”.
In her native Estonia, she has been especially successful in pop music, being the most played artist in the Estonian radio stations during the last decade. Her main driving force is a hasty wish to become better and offer the audience diverse music – what else might explain her music studies in Estonia, the USA and Germany.
In May, 2022, Laura released a new song “Prayers To You” under the New York record label King Street Records. The song is a collaborational project with a renowned Dominican DJ Luk Follin. In February Laura performed at the Estonian Eurovision Pre-Selection Show, where she gave a visual glimpse of the song.
“Here’s Where I Draw The Line” (2023) is the newest single of Laura. The story is a delightful mix of magic, putting an end to self-sabotage, and rediscovering one's vitality. Music and lyrics are co-written with producer Johannes Lõhmus, with whom they also recorded Laura's first single "Moonwalk".
